Fundamentals of Counselling
Fundamentals of Counselling provides a practical and theoretical overview of the skills necessary to counsel people. It includes a guide on establishing the counselling relationship, and the tools that will promote change through the therapeutic encounter, such as the ability to probe, challenge, normalise and reframe situations. How to effectively set goals and pace a counselling relationship are also explored, along with the ethical issues surrounding this profession.
